Cookies policy

This Cookie Policy explains how I, Suraj Soren, use cookies and similar technologies on this portfolio website. It covers what they are, what this site uses, and how you can control them.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help sites function properly, remember your preferences, and provide insight into how visitors engage with content.
Cookies on this site
This site doesn’t set any cookies, and I don’t use cookies or similar technologies for advertising or to track you across other websites. That’s why there’s no cookie banner.
What the site does use
Your theme choice: If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your own browser so the site remembers it next time. It never leaves your device.
Anonymous analytics: I use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to see which pages are visited and how fast they load. They don’t use cookies, and all data is aggregated and anonymous — I can’t identify you personally from it.
Third-party tools
YouTube: Some case studies include a video. It only loads when you press play, and uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. Once you play it, YouTube may store data on your device under its own privacy policy.
Booking a call: “Find a 30 min slot” opens an email to me. If I later add a scheduling tool, it may set its own cookies, and I’ll update this policy.
How to control cookies
Browser settings: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and stored site data at any time. Clearing them here only resets your theme choice.
Updates to this policy
I’ll update this policy if the tools I use change or if there are regulatory reasons to do so. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last reviewed.
